Umbersound is an atmospheric doom and death metal solo project created by New York City-based musician Joe D'Angelo, who is also known as the co-founder of the metal band Grey Skies Fallen. 

The project is highly regarded for its independent, multi-layered approach to music production, blending crushing guitar riffs with melancholic melodies and deep, introspective themes.
